Decree on the Formation of the Committee

The President of the Republic,

Pursuant to the Constitution,

Pursuant to Law No. 62 dated 27/10/2016, particularly Article 2 thereof,

Pursuant to Decree No. 3267 dated 19/06/2018 (establishing the National Human Rights Commission, including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture),

Upon the proposal of the Prime Minister,

And following the approval of the Council of Ministers on 07/03/2019 and 18/06/2019,

Hereby decrees the following:

Article 1

The following members of the National Human Rights Commission are appointed as members of the National Committee for the Prevention of Torture:

Judge Khalil Abu Rjeili
Dr. Bilal Mohammad Misbah Sablouh
Dr. Josiane Maroun Madi Skaff
Lawyer Raymond Madlej
Mrs. Reda Ramez Azar

Article 2

The mandate of this Committee shall expire upon the expiration of the mandate of the National Human Rights Commission established pursuant to Decree No. 3267 dated 19/06/2018.

Article 3

This Decree shall be published and communicated wherever necessary.
