Pursuant to Law No. 62 dated 27/10/2016 (establishing the National Human Rights Commission including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture) and its amendments.
Pursuant to Decree No. 3267 dated June 19, 2018 (formation of the National Human Rights Commission including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture).
Pursuant to Decree No. 5147 dated July 5, 2019 (formation of the National Committee for the Prevention of Torture).
Pursuant to the decision of the Minister of Finance No. 518/1 dated September 1, 2022 (amending Decisions No. 1/169 dated 21/05/2020 and No. 1/332 dated 11/08/2020 regarding the inclusion of a section for the National Human Rights Commission including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture in the general budget under the chapter of Independent National Bodies, with the adjustment of its function to become 1073 – Protection and Promotion of Human Rights).
And following the approval of the Board of Directors of the National Human Rights Commission including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture in its session held on April 19, 2024.
Pursuant to Decree No. 56 dated March 11, 2025 (considering the draft budget for the year 2025, as set forth in the draft law referred to the Parliament by Decree No. 14076 dated October 4, 2024, as effective and applicable).
The annual budget of the National Human Rights Commission, including the Committee for the Prevention of Torture, for the year 2025 was approved and published in the Official Gazette, Supplement No. 11, dated March 13, 2025, with a total amount of 33,515,000 thousand Lebanese Lira (thirty-three billion five hundred fifteen million Lebanese Lira), as follows:
