Haneen Sayed<\/strong>, Minister of Social Affairs<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"926\" data-end=\"971\">\n<p data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"971\"><strong data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"948\">H.E. Adel Nassar<\/strong>, Minister of Justice<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"972\" data-end=\"1038\">\n<p data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"1038\"><strong data-start=\"974\" data-end=\"995\">H.E. Ahmad Hajjar<\/strong>, Minister of Interior and Municipalities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1039\" data-end=\"1089\">\n<p data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1089\"><strong data-start=\"1041\" data-end=\"1068\">H.E. Dr. Mohamad Haidar<\/strong>, Minister of Labor<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1090\" data-end=\"1183\">\n<p data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1183\"><strong data-start=\"1092\" data-end=\"1124\">H.E. Ambassador Frank Mollen<\/strong>, Ambassador of the Kingdom of the Netherlands to Lebanon<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li data-start=\"1184\" data-end=\"1292\">\n<p data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1292\"><strong data-start=\"1186\" data-end=\"1209\">Mr. Mathieu Luciano<\/strong>, Head of Office of the International Organization for Migration (IOM) in Lebanon<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p data-start=\"1294\" data-end=\"1649\">Following the opening, <strong data-start=\"1317\" data-end=\"1343\">Mrs. Abeer Abdel Samad<\/strong>, Director of Social Services at the Ministry of Social Affairs, presented the newly adopted <strong data-start=\"1436\" data-end=\"1469\">Standard Operating Procedures<\/strong>, outlining the framework for coordinated identification, referral, and protection of trafficking victims in line with international standards and Lebanon\u2019s national legislation.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1651\" data-end=\"1991\">The presentation was followed by an intervention by <strong data-start=\"1703\" data-end=\"1728\">General Elie Al Asmar<\/strong>, Head of the Social Services Administration and Member of the Council of Command at the Internal Security Forces, who highlighted <strong data-start=\"1859\" data-end=\"1903\">strategic actions for the implementation<\/strong> of the SOPs and the role of law enforcement in victim-centered protection mechanisms.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"1993\" data-end=\"2220\">This milestone marks a major step forward in Lebanon\u2019s efforts to combat human trafficking through a unified and institutionalized approach that ensures respect for human rights, cross-sector coordination, and accountability.<\/p>\n<p data-start=\"2222\" data-end=\"2483\">The SOPs were developed within the framework of the <strong data-start=\"2274\" data-end=\"2293\">COMPASS program<\/strong>, supported by the <strong data-start=\"2312\" data-end=\"2377\">Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of the Netherlands<\/strong>, and implemented with technical assistance from the <strong data-start=\"2430\" data-end=\"2480\">International Organization for Migration (IOM)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Ministry of Social Affairs, in collaboration with the Ministries of Justice, Interior and Municipalities, and Labor, officially launched the Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the Identification, Assistance, and Protection of Victims of Trafficking in Lebanon during a ceremony held at the Small Ville Hotel in Badaro, Beirut.
