This call is in accordance with Article 10 of Law No. 105, issued on November 30, 2018.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"586\" data-end=\"768\">Under the law, the committee is responsible for nominating twelve candidates from among human rights activists, based on nominations submitted by Lebanese human rights organizations.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"770\" data-end=\"889\">\ud83d\uddd3 <strong data-start=\"773\" data-end=\"802\">Deadline for submissions:<\/strong> May 30, 2025<br data-start=\"815\" data-end=\"818\" \/>\ud83d\udccd <strong data-start=\"821\" data-end=\"842\">Submission venue:<\/strong> General Secretariat of the Lebanese Parliament<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"891\" data-end=\"927\">\ud83d\udd0d <strong data-start=\"894\" data-end=\"927\">Nomination file must include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"1138\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"928\" data-end=\"956\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"930\" data-end=\"956\">Full name of the nominee<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"957\" data-end=\"982\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"959\" data-end=\"982\">Detailed CV in Arabic<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"983\" data-end=\"1018\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"985\" data-end=\"1018\">Copies of academic certificates<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1019\" data-end=\"1067\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1021\" data-end=\"1067\">Individual civil status record (ikhraj qayd)<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1068\" data-end=\"1138\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1070\" data-end=\"1138\">Proof of at least ten years of experience in human rights activities<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1140\" data-end=\"1171\">\u270d\ufe0f <strong data-start=\"1143\" data-end=\"1171\">Additional requirements:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1357\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1172\" data-end=\"1262\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1174\" data-end=\"1262\">Nomination letter must be personally signed by the nominee confirming their acceptance<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1263\" data-end=\"1357\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1265\" data-end=\"1357\">The nomination must be endorsed by at least one-third of Lebanese human rights organizations<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1359\" data-end=\"1392\">\ud83d\udccc <strong data-start=\"1362\" data-end=\"1392\">Legal framework reminders:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul data-start=\"1393\" data-end=\"1604\">\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1393\" data-end=\"1443\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1395\" data-end=\"1443\">Term of appointment: Five years, non-renewable<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1444\" data-end=\"1505\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1446\" data-end=\"1505\">The appointment does not require full-time commitment to the work of the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"\" data-start=\"1506\" data-end=\"1604\">\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1508\" data-end=\"1604\">Members serve in their personal capacity, independently and without influence from any authority<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1606\" data-end=\"1900\">The Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights affirms its commitment to selecting qualified, independent, and experienced candidates to ensure the effectiveness of the National Commission in uncovering the fate of the missing and forcibly disappeared, and in delivering justice to their families.<\/p>\n<p class=\"\" data-start=\"1902\" data-end=\"1993\">\ud83d\udd17 For more information, please follow official announcements from the Lebanese Parliament.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights in Lebanon is calling on all civil society organizations active in the field of human rights to submit nominations for membership in the National Commission for the Missing and Forcibly Disappeared.
