In fulfillment of its mandate as Lebanon’s independent National Preventive Mechanism (NPM), the National Committee for the Prevention of Torture - (CPT) embedded under Lebanon’s National Human Rights Commission submits this contribution to the United Nations Subcommittee on Prevention of Torture and other cruel, inhuman, or degrading treatment or punishment, in conjunction with their awaited visit to Lebanon.
